Frequently Asked Questions
How long do dental implants last?
Dental implants are custom-made to last a lifetime with good oral hygiene, including regular brushing and flossing at least once a day. It’s also important to schedule regular check-ups with your Goldsboro, NC dentist to maintain your implants.
I have missing teeth. Am I a candidate for implants?
In most cases, patients with missing teeth are ideal candidates for dental implants. However, it’s important to have fairly good oral health and sufficient jawbone mass for successful implant placement.
Stovall Dental offers several supplemental procedures, including bone grafting and gum disease treatment, to help patients prepare for dental implant surgery.
How many dental implants will I need?
The number of dental implants placed varies on each patient. Generally, each missing tooth should be replaced with a single dental implant.
At your initial consultation, one of our highly qualified implant specialists will examine your oral health and determine the best treatment plan for you.
How long does the dental implant process take?
The duration of the dental implant process is different from patient to patient, depending on several factors. This includes your oral health, how many implants are needed, and whether a supplemental procedure is required.
In most cases, the implant process can take four to five months including the healing period.
How much do dental implants cost?
The cost of dental implants varies depending on a number of details, such as the number of implants placed, type of restoration, and possibility of a supplemental procedure.
During your initial consultation, our team will give you a more precise estimate of your cost after evaluating your oral health and designing your treatment plan. Stovall Dental provides several flexible payment and financing options to help make your treatment as affordable as possible.
Are dental implants covered by insurance?
Most dental insurance companies will cover a portion of your treatment, but not the full cost. We recommend contacting your provider before your initial consultation to discuss your insurance coverage.
If you’d like, we can file your claim for you and go over your payment options. Our staff is well-trained to help you get the most out of your insurance benefits.
